USED BOOK COLLECTION RESUMES IN JUNE

Beginning on June 2 and ending on August 25, books will be collected for the 2007 annual Used Book Sale. Hardcover and paperback books can be donated, as well as games, puzzles, books-on-tape or CDs, videos, music CDs, software and DVDs. All items must be complete and in good condition. Sorry, no records, textbooks, encyclopedias or magazines can be accepted.

Books will be collected at The Meeting House, 800 Hopmeadow Street, on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and Tuesdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 12 noon.  Please do not leave books at other times or locations.

We thank the Simsbury Historical Society for the use of the Meeting House for the collection site. We ask that you respect the privacy of the Simsbury Historical Society by directing all questions regarding collections and/or the sale to Charmaine Glew at 651-4192 or Ann Wallack at 658-7781. Please do not call the Historical Society. No books will be accepted before the June start date.

The giant Used Book Sale will be held on Saturday, September 8 and Sunday, September 9, 2007. Please note the new location of the sale will be at Simsbury High School, 34 Farms Village Road.  All proceeds from the sale directly support programs and services at the Simsbury Public Library. Please start saving your used books today and spread the word to your friends and neighbors, too. We will recycle your books and turn them into “gold” for the library! ~
