ANNUAL MEETING/BOOK AUTHOR LUNCHEON

Guest Author: Ron Powers
Pulitzer and Emmy Award-winning author, journalist, and critic will discuss his oeuvre on Mark Twain which New York Times called a “virtuoso performance of descriptive recreation, worthy of Twain.” His book, Mark Twain: A Life, was a finalist for a National Book Critics Circle Award. He is listed among America’s 100 most popular non-fiction authors. He co-authored the best-selling book, Flags of Our Fathers, which was also a movie hit. Some of his other titles include: Dangerous Water: A Biography of the Boy Who Became Mark Twain, Last Flag Down: The Epic Journey of the Last Confederate Warship, The Man Who Flew the Memphis Bell: Memoir of a WWII Bomber Pilot.
Luncheon includes one entrée, rolls, coffee/tea service, dessert and cash bar: 1. Caprice Chianti Salad – Grilled lemon-basil chicken with mixed seasonal greens, roasted vegetables, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, Chianti Italian Dressing, olives and grilled Ciabatta toasts 2.
