    We're just wild about Harry
Last month of the eve of the release of the seventh and final Harry Potter book, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows", the Library hosted a sleepover to celebrate and read Mr. Potter.

Lucky attendees got their copies of "HP7" at the stroke of midnight

Both child and adult alike were excited for the earliest possible peek and Harry's swan song.

Books, used books. Our kingdom for used books. And movies.

The Friends of the Simsbury Library are collecting books for their annual book sale.

Besides being a well-attended and popular event the book sale makes more than $20,000 for the library each year.

Bring your used (but clean) books, games, puzzles, audio and video tapes, CDs, DVDs and computer software to 800 Hopmeadow St., also known as the Simsbury Historical Society.

Unfortunately we cannot accept records, magazines, encyclopedias or textbooks.

The collection site is open Saturdays from 10am to 4pm and Tuesdays and Fridays from 10am to noon.

    Join a book club!

Oh sure, you say you'll join one. It's your New Year's resolution. It's on your "I always meant to" list.

    Now's your chance.

Starting in September the Library offers two book clubs: the Mystery Book Club and the Adult Book Club.

Both clubs meet once a month and are headed by a discussion leader.

To read about the Mystery Book Club click here.

If you have any questions regarding the book clubs you can call James Miller, Head of Adult Services at 658-7663 or write to him at jmiller@simsburylibrary.info.
