Research your roots @ the Library

Ancestry.com is one of the largest and most commonly used genealogical research tools. This past December the Simsbury Library purchased a subscription to the service.

As subscribers here is a brief list of things that you can search while using Ancestry.com:

    • federal and state censuses
    • Social Security Death Index
    • state vital records databases
    • military service and pension records
    • immigration and naturalization records
    • court records
    • and hundreds more ...

Ancestry.com can only be used inside the library, as per the terms of our license.

Please ask the reference desk if you'd like more information or need help. Or if your feeling bold just come on in and give it a try.
