Notary appointments are available Monday to Friday 9:30am-4:30pm.
To schedule an appointment, please dial the Information Desk at 860-658-7663, ex. 2.
Due to increased demand, walk-in appointments are not available.

Passport Service

The Simsbury Public Library is a recognized passport processing center. Applications for new passports are accepted by appointment only- walk-in service is not available. For a complete list of resources, please visit our Passport Services page. 

Equipment for Public Use

  • Up-to-date PCs with Internet access
  • Microsoft Office software
  • Laser printer/copier for color and black & white printing, both single page and duplex
    • Coin-op and cash accepted at the printer/copier and the Information Desk
  • Mobile Printing via Princh
    • Upload documents to the Library’s remote print server from home, your personal computer, or smartphone for convenient printing 
  • Fax machine (outgoing only)
    • The fax machine takes credit cards and prepaid cards over the phone. Prepaid cards are available for purchase at the Information Desk.
  • Scanning:
    • Flat bed scanner: book and large format scanning
    • Document scanner: multi-page feeder for business cards and documents 8.5” x 11” or 8.5” x 14”
  • Typewriter

Electronic Resources

The Library subscribes to numerous online resources for research, education, and general interest. Many are available for use from home with your Library Card. Visit our Digital Collection page to learn more.

Study Rooms

The Simsbury Public Library has two small study rooms (two person occ.) and three small conference rooms (4-6 person occ.) available in the Business & Career Center. Reserve in-person at the Information Desk or call us at 860-658-7663 ex.2. Reservations are permitted up to one week in advance and for a total of four hours per day. To learn more, click here.
