Whether you want the flexibility to pick up your library items outside of our hours of operation or you want a curbside option, use the Simsbury Public Library Book Locker option when placing your hold.
The Simsbury Book lockers are located in the lower level courtyard and are accessible 24/7!
When you place a hold, select the lockers as your pick up location from the drop down menu:
You may also call or visit the library and ask staff to put your hold items in a locker.
Once the requested item is available for you, staff will check it out to your account and place it in a locker. You will receive an email letting you know your item is ready for pick up. The email will include both a numeric code and a QR code; either one will allow you to access the locker.
When you arrive at the lockers, follow the prompts on the screen to open the locker and retrieve your items. This video show the process in detail:
We will hold items in a locker for you for 7 days from the date it is checked out to you.
Please note that most Library of Things items must be picked up inside the building, during Library open hours.
